#Ubuntu samba stopped working how to
I'm not very familiar with samba/pam authentication so I'm open to any suggestions on how to resolve it (other than rolling back). usr/bin/unattended-upgrade Upgrade: python-samba:amd64 I've noticed that there was an unattended security upgrade related to samba as you can see below. Well I were watching a movie which I had on my samba server and suddenly the movie stopped so at first I though it was something with the network but after several tests it turns out it wasnt so I connected to the server via ssh and tried to restart samba and I get the message Starting Samba daemons.
NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE, Error message was: Logon failure WBC_ERR_AUTH_ERROR, PAM error: PAM_AUTH_ERR (7), NTSTATUS: Pam_winbind(sshd:auth): request wbcLogonUser failed: Authentication stopped working yesterday while nothing on GIT server or AD has changed. I have an Ubuntu 16.04 GIT server with AD authentication configured.
